Leon Britton Opens GDK Swansea in Exciting Store Launch

We scored a winner at the Swansea official store launch on Friday 17th February where Leon Britton and local MP Geraint Davies joined us to kick off the GDK party.

Swansea A.F.C captain Leon Britton visited the store and sampled several of our signature dishes that are good enough for a football captain! Britton said: “Normally I would steer clear of traditional kebabs but the GDK version, with its lean meat and lower calories, fits in well with the healthy eating approach”. Our kebabs are a completely different ball game. We pride ourselves in providing 100% lean meat kebabs containing lower saturated fats than the traditional doner kebab and they are a great way to refuel after exercise. It appears Britton would agree...

During the launch, local MP Geraint Davies popped down to grab a kebab and mingled and selfied with Britton and our amazing GDK/Swansea fans. The dancers from Step Up productions joined us again and grooved their way about Uplands Crescent and posed for photos with passers by. The launch was one big party and certainly brightened up the streets of Swansea on a Friday afternoon. It's been an exciting time for GDK breaking into Wales and we can't wait to revolutionise the kebab in another corner of the UK. We already have another store opening lined up in Cardiff, so make sure you keep an eye out for our opening date and another fantastic store launch!

The Swansea store launch was a huge success and we'd like to thank everyone for coming down and going kebab crazy!  We'd also like to thank South Wales Evening Post for the great coverage!

Our Swansea store is open from 12pm-12am Monday-Sunday, there’s no excuses not to come and visit us. Why don’t you check out our menu before you come head down?
